Work Detail - Saturday April 13th, 2024

The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails held its 1st work detail on Saturday April 13th, 2024. We had a very good turn out of volunteers, and from the Centre County probation Office. We collected 79 bags of trash from the trail, Snow Shoe Township and Borough roads, and Route 144. All the pads at the gates were cleaned and we brushed the sides of the trail.

Hope to see everyone at the next upcoming work detail which is scheduled for Saturday April 27th, 2024 at the Black bear trailhead. Please notify Gary Halsnik at sharpie22@verizon.net if you are attending this! Food and Beverage will be provided.

NOTICE

 The SSRT has been getting complaints of speeders in the Number 10 area to Clarence. Please travel at a safe speed of not more than 20 MPH in this area and some area 10MPH. We need your help from users-If you see any people traveling fast, please address with them and also report to Centre County Sheriff's Office. Get pictures, license numbers etc-anything to address the abusers.

Let's have a safe summer and get this problem addressed quickly.

Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Executive Officers

 Jim Leigey, Gary Halsnik, Patrick Warefield and Chris Burger installed a new corporate sponsor board at Gillentown Trailhead this past Sunday. Thank you to our volunteers for braving the elements to complete this job.

2023 SSRTA Raffle

The 2023 SSRTA Raffle was held at Mayes Pavilion on October 7, 2023. Thank you Mary Halsnik for taking all the pictures. So many volunteers to thank that helped with food prepared to standing by one of the ticket areas. The meal was fantastic & thank you all that made food.
